Day Two of Frocktober dawned brightly as I woke up down at Mum and Dad’s place in Edithvale, by the sea. So obviously I felt the need to pull out a nautical theme. This lovely dress came from Vinnie’s in Hoppers Crossing, as did the shoes, and the stripy t-shirt (my favourite kind of t-shirt) came from K-mart. Total cost of outfit = $15.50. Perhaps you’re wondering what that little red accessory is at the bottom of my t-shirt. It’s my ultimate nautical accessory on the cheap:
A red crab that came out of a Christmas cracker last year!
The sun shone all day and it was a public holiday so I did what most of Melbourne seemed to be doing, and hung out with my family down at the beach.
And I also spent time checking out the hard rubbish out for collection in Mum and Dad’s street.
What was even better than the sun today, was seeing the donations flooding in from family and friends. Huge thanks to Frockstars Patrick & Thoa, Cat, Marilyn & Mick, Mum & Dad, and Cara. I’m blown away by the amount of support so far. If you’d like to be a part of it and make a donation to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation, the link is here.
If you’re on Facebook, you might have seen that Frocktober have made me a Frocktober Ambassador. So happy to be spreading the word about the importance of ovarian cancer research.
